PHOENIX -- Cody Ross homered and drove in two runs and Randall Delgado limited San Diego to three hits in his first career shutout to help the Arizona Diamondbacks to a 10-0 victory at Chase Field on Friday.
Ross was one of seven Arizona starters with at least two hits to back Delgado (3-3), who ran his scoreless innings streak to 14 2/3 innings after holding San Francisco without a run in his first outing after the All-Star break on Sunday.
Martin Prado and Cliff Pennington each had three of the D-backs' 17 hits and drove in a run as Arizona (54-49) won for the third time in its last four games.
Ross, Aaron Hill, Wil Nieves, A.J. Pollock and Delgado had two hits apiece for Arizona. Hill and Pollock also drove in two runs.
San Diego shortstop Everth Cabrera opened the game with a single to center field, but he did not advance.
Chase Headley doubled but did not advance in the fourth, and Chris Denorfia singled with two outs in the ninth as San Diego (46-58) lost for only the second time in five games.
Delgado has not allowed more than three earned runs in any of his eight starts since joining the rotation June 18, when Brandon McCarthy was on the disabled list and Ian Kennedy was serving a 10-game suspension. Delgado walked one and struck out three.
The D-backs scored two runs in each of the first three innings and added one more in the fourth for a 7-0 lead off left-hander Eric Stults (8-9), who gave up only two hits in a complete game, 2-1 victory over Arizona in San Diego on June 14.
Hill had run-scoring doubles in the first and second innings before being removed in the top of the third inning with what the D-backs called right hamstring tightness.
Hill missed eight weeks after suffering a fractured left hand when he was hit by a pitch April 9.
NOTES: Arizona C Miguel Montero missed his fourth straight start because of lower back soreness. He took batting practice for the first time since Monday and reported no pain. Backup C Wil Nieves has hit safely in all his starts while filling in for Montero. ... San Diego had won 15 of the last 21 games against Arizona and was 6-3 in the season series entering Friday's game. ... San Diego 1B Yonder Alonzo had an 11-game hitting streak at Chase Field entering Friday's game, the second-longest in franchise history in Arizona behind 12-gamers by Mark Loretta, Phil Nevin and Adrian Gonzalez. ... In their first eight games after being no-hit by San Francisco RHP Tim Lincecum on July 13, the Padres hit .305 with 10 home runs.
