Chad Morton becomes Seattle assistant special teams coach

Chad Morton has landed a new job.

The former Packers assistant special teams coach has been hired for the same role with the Seattle Seahawks, the team announced. Morton spent the previous four years as an assistant special teams coach with the Packers, and was in Green Bay for five years total.

Morton was on a special teams staff that helped develop Randall Cobb as an NFL returner.

Morton made his playing career primarily on special teams. In seven seasons with the Saints, Jets, Redskins and Giants, Morton totaled 5,401 kick return yards and three touchdowns, and 1,431 punt return yards and one touchdown.
