    Canadiens re-sign Price to 6-year deal

    The Montreal Canadiens re-signed restricted free agent goalie Carey Price to a new six-year contract, the team announced Monday.

    Terms of the deal were not released, but the Montreal Gazette had reported earlier Price was expected to sign a deal with an annual cap hit of between $6 million and $6.5 million.

    Price had a 26-28-11 record with a 2.43 goals-against average for the Canadiens this past season.

    In 2010-11, Price had a 2.35 GAA.
