Bucs DT McCoy fined $15,750
The NFL fined Tampa Bay Buccaneers defensive tackle Gerald McCoy $15,750 for his hit on Atlanta Falcons quarterback Dominque Davis during last Sunday's game, multiple media outlets reported Friday.
McCoy was called for a roughing-the-passer penalty when he hit Davis in the knees. Davis had to leave the leave the game with a bruised knee, but he was available as the Falcons' backup for Thursday's game.
Despite the fine, McCoy had a productive game. He had three sacks and four quarterback hits to help lead the Buccaneers to a 41-28 victory.
