Browns reach agreement with first-round pick Richardson
The Cleveland Browns and first-round draft pick Trent Richardson have reached agreement on a four-year deal, multiple media outlets have reported.
The deal is worth $20.4 million, according to ESPN's Chris Mortensen, while CBSSports.com puts the value at $20.488 million.
The deal includes a $13.341 million signing bonus, and it is fully guaranteed with no offset language. The inclusion of offset language would have meant Richardson would not have received his guaranteed money from the Browns if they cut him within timeframe of the contract.
According to CBSSports.com, Richardson will have base salaries of $390,000 in 2012, $1.321 million in 2013, $2.252 million in 2014, and $3.184 million in 2015.
Richardson, a running back out of Alabama, was the third overall pick in April's draft.
Only three top-10 selections reamain unsigned - offensive tackle Matt Kalil of the Vikings, wide receiver Justin Blackmon of the Jaguars and quarterback Ryan Tannehill of the Dolphins.
