Bills QB Kolb injures knee

Buffalo Bills quarterback Kevin Kolb injured his left knee Saturday when he slipped while running from one field to another at training camp.

The injury is not considered serious and Kolb is expected to return to practice in a few days. He is competing with rookie EJ Manuel for the starting job.

Kolb slipped on a wet rubber mat while running between fields. He did not fall but stumbled and had to put him arm around trainer Bud Carpenter's shoulder as he had trouble standing.

He was taken to the locker room after being examined by Carpenter.

Kolb signed a two-year deal with the Bills in the offseason but the team also drafted Manuel No. 16 overall in the April draft.
