What's buzzing:

Bills keep QBs Jackson, Thigpen

The SportsXchange

The Bills acquired quarterback Tarvaris Jackson less than two weeks before their season opener, and apparently want to see more before annointing him as Ryan Fitzpatrick's backup. Tyler Thigpen was not among the team's cuts down to 53 players Friday.

Also kept was H-back Dorin Dickerson.

Wide receivers Kamar Aiken, Marcus Easley, Derek Hagan, Ruvell Martin and Naaman Roosevelt were all waived. Easley has intriguing athleticism but has been unable to stay healthy.

Also waived were offensive linemen Mark Asper, David Snow, Keith Williams and James Carmon, tight end Kevin Brock, running backs Johnny White and Zach Brown, punter Shawn Powell, linebackers Tank Carder and Scott McKillop, defensive end Robert Eddins, defensive tackles Dwan Edwards, Kellen Heard and Jarron Gilbert and defensive backs Isaiah Green and Nick Saenz.
