Bears sign Jordan Lynch as undrafted free agent

The Chicago Bears announced that they've signed nine undrafted free agents, including former Northern Illinois quarterback Jordan Lynch.

Lynch was a Heisman Trophy finalist this past season, known for his ability to throw and run the ball with the Huskies. However, the Bears are looking at him strictly as a runner as they've already given him the designation of a running back.

At the quarterback position, Lynch ran for 1,920 yards and 23 touchdowns as a senior. He also threw for 2,892 yards and 24 touchdowns.

The other eight undrafted free agents the Bears signed were DT Brandon Dunn (Louisville), G Ryan Groy (Wisconsin), OG James Dunbar (TCU), LB Tana Patrick (Alabama), LB Christian Jones (Florida State), DT Lee Pegues (East Carolina), OT Cody Booth (Temple) and LB Devekeyan Lattimore (South Florida).
