This is bloody brilliant.
(Yes, that was vampire joke.)
In an effort to bring peace between San Antonio Spurs guard Manu Ginobili(notes), the southern U.S. bat population and, presumably, those crazy kooks at PETA, one creative San Antonio-based brewery is offering free beer for the people.
Yep, you heard me, free beer!
The Freetail Brewing Company says every time the Spurs win a game, and no Mexican Free-tailed Bats are caught by that Ozzy Osbourne-wannabee pictured right, everyone at the brewery will receive a free pint of lager. In addition, the brewery will donate $1 on thepatron's behalf to Bat Conservation International.
Ginobili punked a bat that got loose inside the AT&T Center on Halloween night, delaying the Spurs' game against the Sacramento Kings. Once down for the count, Manu picked up the bat and handed it to an usher as the crowd gave him a standing ovation. Something tells me they won't be so kind with a free beer or two riding on the line.
(I can't believe the Utah Flash didn't think of this first.)

Samples and free items are designed to do just that. Sell, sell, sell. If you've ever been in a grocery store and had a free sample how many times do you add that sampled item to the car?. Free items usually generate business or have you coming back for more.

Everything has got to turn into the anti-government, conservative-leaning BS on the internet nowadays!! PETA has a right to [profane] because you have a right to [profane]. If you actually care about the first amendment, you'll support the right of interest groups to speak their minds. If you want to crap on lobbyists then be expected to be crapped on for your wrong opinion. Lobbyists serve a very important role in our system. If you don't like it, then move to a country where individuals (and yes, organized groups') rights to speech are oppressed.
