In case you missed it — and I can't imagine why you wouldn't have — Game 5 of the Heat-Hawks series got a little wild on Wednesday night.
In the first half alone, Dwyane Wade bounced his head off the floor turnbuckle, Dick Bavetta protected "his guy," Wade got dinged with a flagrant foul for chasing down Maurice Evans, Al Horford "tapped out" after twisting an ankle and Commissioner Stern, sitting courtside, blindsided Josh Smith with a chair shot. Yes, it was all very WWE-like, even down to the zany ringside announcer calling the action. And our Gorilla Monsoon? Well, that would be Hawks radio announcer Steve Holman of 790 The Zone.
Listen to this homer gold:
"You can't foul me when I go to the basket, I have a hurt head. I'm Dwyane Wade. I do commercials."
Cheers, Larry Brown Sports.
