San Diego Padres lose Joe Musgrove to injury, then get hammered by Diamondbacks

One of the biggest concerns facing the Padres in 2024 was depth in the starting rotation. Prior to Sunday's game in Arizona the Friars sent Joe Musgrove to the 15-day Injured List with right elbow inflammation. In that situation the first thought is naturally, oh no, I hope this is not a Tommy John surgery kind of situation. Randy Vasquez, who was called up for a couple of starts when Yu Darvish was out with a neck issue, was brought back from Triple-A to fill Joe's spot in the rotation.
