Ex-Yankees first baseman, NJ native gets MLB call with team that cut him twice this season

Former New York Yankees first baseman/DH is signing a third free agent deal this season with the team that's released him twice already. A Belle Mead, New Jersey, native, Mike Ford, who played 101 games with the Yankees from 2019-21, is being signed and called up to the MLB with the Cincinnati Reds, according to the New York Post's Jon Heyman. Ford signed and later opted out of two minor league contracts with the Reds already this season, but this time he's signed for a 26-man roster spot.
