The scariest hole in golf is no match for this NFL mascot

TPC Sawgrass. The home of THE PLAYERS Championship and the iconic 17th hole — a 137-yard, par 3 with a treacherous island green.

Over the years, it’s been dubbed the “scariest” hole in golf and even the big boys have been known to flub a few at 17.

In 2013, Sergio Garcia put two in the water in the final round of the 2013 PLAYERS Championship. He was leading the tournament at the time, but went on to finish tied for 8th after a double on 18.

Tiger Woods argued to move the hole from 17th to 8th on the scorecard back in 2007, because a “gimmicky” hole shouldn’t be the penultimate tee shot at what is considered the fifth major.

You’ll get no complaints from Jacksonville Jaguars mascot Jaxson De Ville, though. In a video sweeping social media Wednesday, the giant, costumed Jaguar took a shot at it during a recent charity event.

With a driver. From his knees.

Stuck it.

Masters winner Jordan Spieth may still be riding high at THE PLAYERS Championship in three weeks at Sawgrass.

But he may want to check over his shoulder for that excitable, yellow jaguar looking to pick up a couple of strokes on 17.
