Manchester Utd went to a great deal of trouble to secure the services of Paul Pogba when he was 16 years old. So much trouble, in fact, that they embroiled themselves in an ugly tapping-up scandal.
Yet the Frenchman only ended up playing three senior games for the Red Devils before his contract expired and Sir Alex Ferguson allowed him to go to Juventus for free. Now, United have Tom Cleverley stinking up their midfield while Pogba can't stop scoring incredible goals and winning awards in Serie A.
