Here’s Red Wings great Darren McCarty trying to pawn 14-foot alligator (Video)

Last September, we told you about Darren McCarty's rather interesting career move: Working for American Jewelry and Loan in Detroit, a pawnshop featured on the truTV series "Hardcore Pawn."

On Tuesday night's episode, we get to see how the former Detroit Red Wings grinder got the gig, but not before we see Darren McCarty try to pawn a 14-foot taxidermied alligator for cash and store credit:

"Hardcore Pawn" is shown at 9 p.m. ET on truTV, so please do check those local listings. Tune in next week when Chris Chelios attempts to pawn the hide of an Ankylosaurus.

I'm not buying that ankylosaurus hide unless Chelios also tosses in the autographed jawbone he the bagged the thing with. There are too many fake dino hides out there.

soon up will be patty waaaaaa trying to pawn his cup rings from colorado, he wont sell the one from montreal because it means something to him. but after not being able to forget the thrashing the redwings gave him in his last game in colorado, he wants to forget he ever played in colorado.

Lame. If Roy kept only one ring, he'd be able to hear Jeremy Roenick, and hockey would be deprived of a line of smack that has kept on giving from that day to this.

This is awesome, now Brad Marchand can pawn off his Ed Hardy designer jeans, his Tap-Out t-shirt and his Von Dutch baseball cap. After all, he is the Champian of D-Bags.

That is true... Probably spells as bad as you do too.

Are you referring to the Champian typo clown? It is intentional, do your homework. Any other typos you'd like to point out?

I watch 'pawn stars' because they just have some weird items and take a historical look at them...like a gibson sg that was owned by les paul's wife and they bought it for 90k

but Hardcore Pawn indeed does suck
