According to a release from Navy, the uniforms are inspired by the First Navy Jack and have the “Don’t Tread On Me” motto on the hem of each jersey and on the side of the pants.

From Navy:

In 2002 Secretary of the Navy Gordon R. England ordered all United States Navy ships to fly the First Navy Jack with the "Don't Tread On Me" motto and moving rattlesnake in place of the regular Navy Jack for the duration of the global war on terror. The First Navy Jack, with its red and white stripes, was first used by the Continental Navy during the American Revolution.

Additionally, the helmet has a new N-star logo with the red and white stripes from the flag, along with the interlocking rattlesnake. Also, the 13 red stripes from the flag are represented on the “shoulders of the jersey, knee insets of the pants, palms of the gloves, baselayer and socks.”

Coming off back-to-back wins over Georgia Southern and South Alabama, the 6-5 Midshipmen will look to make it three straight wins to close out the regular season with a win over the Black Knights.

Army won two of its last three games to improve its record to 4-7 heading into Saturday’s game.

Navy has won 12 consecutive games in the series and is scheduled to face San Diego State in the Poinsettia Bowl on Dec. 23.
