Florida Atlantic shows off red chrome helmets (photo)

Florida Atlantic is the latest team to show off some new helmets for the upcoming season.

These red chrome lids hit the Internet on Friday and we happen to think they’re pretty nice as far as chrome helmets go. It looks like there could be a blue chrome helmet in the background as well.

It seems like chrome is all the rage these days and FAU is just joining the bandwagon. Still, it’s a good way to generate some excitement around a team that won its final four games of the 2013 season, became bowl eligible for the first time since 2008 and is welcoming new head coach Charlie Partridge.
