Colorado's George Frazier arrested on suspicion of DUI

Colorado defensive end/fullback George Frazier was arrested on suspicion of DUI over the weekend.

According to the Daily Camera, Frazier, 20, was arrested at 3 a.m. Sunday morning after an officer found him “asleep behind the wheel of his car at an intersection in Boulder.” After watching the vehicle “remain in the intersection through one light cycle,” the officer said he approached the vehicle and found Frazier asleep “with his foot on the brake and the transmission in drive.”

From the Camera:

The officer approached the vehicle and found Frazier asleep at the wheel, with his foot on the brake and the transmission in drive. The officer tried to wake Frazier up and eventually had to nudge him to get him to wake up, Ogden said.

Frazier told the officer he had one small alcoholic beverage, but the officer said Frazier was slurring his speech and had a blood-alcohol level of .111, according to police. He also at one point let his foot off the brake while he was talking to the officer, causing the car to roll backwards, police said.

Frazier was arrested and booked into the Boulder County Jail before being released on bond.

In a statement, Colorado head coach Mike MacIntyre said Frazier will be disciplined internally.

"We certainly don't condone George's actions, of which he is taking full responsibility for, nor do we approve of minors in possession," MacIntyre said. "We have strict team policies against this kind of behavior and his discipline will be handled internally."

Frazier, who is entering his redshirt sophomore season for the Buffs, played both fullback and defensive end in 2014. On offense, Frazier had five rushes for four yards and one touchdown while adding five catches for 35 yards and three touchdowns through the air. Additionally, Frazier tallied 15 tackles on defense.
