Arizona State players will see an image of Pat Tillman before taking the field this season (Photo)

A picture of Pat Tillman, the former Arizona State safety who was killed while serving in the US military, will greet the Arizona State Sun Devils each time they leave the locker room for the field before a game this season.

The picture of Tillman from the back is designed to signify that he's leading the team onto the field. There will also be a 90 inch television that will show Tillman highlights in the tunnel.

Tillman played at Arizona State from 1994-1997 and was the Pac-10 Defensive Player of the Year as a senior. He was drafted by the Arizona Cardinals and played safety, before enlisting in the Army in May 2002 after the September 11, 2001 attacks.

Tillman was deployed to Afghanistan in 2003 and was killed in April of 2004. An investigation into his death concluded in 2007 found that Tillman was killed as a result of friendly fire.
