Shaun King: Officiating could favor Seattle over Denver

Super Bowl XLVIII.Broncos. Seahawks. Refs?

The NFL's battle of the titans pits Denver's No. 1 offense against Seattle's No. 1 defense on Sunday. But there's one team that goes overlooked, the team wearing black and white.

NBC Sports Network NFL analyst Shaun King thinks the officials could play a major role in Sunday's big game, and he thinks they're impact will benefit the Seahawks and their aggressive defense.

"The officiating, goes back to before the rule change, allows Seattle to be aggressive at the line of scrimmage, to push, to grab, to hold. It allows them to land vicious blows that have been called targeting during the season that go uncalled during this game," King said when he joined SportsNet Central on Wednesday. "I think a lot of it's in the hands of the officials. They've been pretty lenient throughout the playoffs and not as stringent with some of these rules that allow Seattle to be aggressive, and I think it'll make a huge difference."
