PFT Live: 49ers’ sideline shove not just a common mistake

Overshadowed by Richard Sherman’s postgame rant is an epic sideline controversy that the NFL must look into.

On a punt play by the Seahawks, gunner Jeremy Lane ran his route down the field and while out of bounds he encountered someone from the 49ers in street clothes that gave the player a deliberate shove and flattened him to the ground.

There are no names attached to the incident and the 49ers claim they will be fully cooperative if and when the NFL decides to investigate, but Mike Florio isn’t so sure this can be chalked up to a common mistake.
