Bill Belichick jabs reporter for wearing golf shoes to press conference

At his Friday morning press conference, Patriots coach Bill Belichick took a break from matters of the highest national urgency, such as the condition of Tom Brady's calf, to take a look below the calves of CSNNE.com Patriots Insider Tom E. Curran.

Specifically, it was Curran's footwear that caught the coach's eye.

"Going golfing today, Tom?" Belichick asked, after he got a glimpse of Curran's golf spikes.

"I left my house without my shoes," Curran explained, then desperately tried to fire back at the coach's fashion sense.

"I have never seen this arrangement, by the way. With the gingham [shirt] under the [Patriots] pullover, so...," Curran said.

Belichick: "We're talking about your style not mine."

Curran: "You're in flip flops. I have to work today. This is an oversight because I have to find out what happened to your damn quarterback so I ran outta the house.."

Belichick: "On your way to the golf course, you stopped by here...I got it."
