Tony Parker exposes his nipple on French TV in solidarity with Kate Middleton, duh (VIDEO)

As you all know, I am one of the Internet's premier royal watchers. As a result, I am well aware of the controversy surrounding the French gossip magazine Closer's recent publication of topless photos of Kate Middleton, the wife of Prince William and the Duchess of Cambridge. I have not actually looked at the photos — again, true royal watcher — but I am aware of what is going on, that William and Kate are suing Closer, that other magazines in Ireland and Italy have published them and that a French court has banned further publication of the images. I mean, of course I know that.

I did not know, however, that during a recent interview on French cable station Canal+, San Antonio Spurs point guard Tony Parker and French national handball team player Nikola Karabatic were asked by a viewer, "Par solidarite pour Kate Middleton, a vous de montrer vos tetons aussi ici? Allez!" Loosely translated, this means, "In solidarity with Kate Middleton, will you show your nipples here, too? Go ahead!"

The answer: Yes.

I am admittedly not entirely sure how showing your nipples in photographs and on television represents a symbol of solidarity with someone who doesn't want her nipples shown in photographs and on television, but still, it is very nice that Parker is willing to lend his support to important causes, especially while happily (or creepily) whistling. Kind of helps take the edge off Parker publicly criticizing scouts and players for the French professional team in which he owns a stake, including flat-out calling the team's point guard a zero. Maybe everyone associated with ASVEL should write into French TV and ask Tony to stop being mean to them. Clearly, he's open to televised suggestions.

Also, if you are wondering why the following gentleman, with whom I am not familiar (probably because he is not a royal) jumps out of his chair, it's because the TV screen asks him to. All of life's questions, answered!
