Bellator news: N.O.R.E, Judo Jim, Mega Megu and tons of Tigers

Bellator took this week off, but still had plenty of news to share.

-- "Judo" Jim Wallhead, who was kept out of Bellator's welterweight tourney because of a volcano eruption, will finally debut for Bellator. Wallhead will fight his replacement in the tournament, Ryan Thomas, on Oct. 14 in Kansas City. The heavyweight final, Neil Grove vs. Cole Konrad, and bantamweight final, Zach Makovsky vs. Ed West, will also be on that card, as well as a bout between University of Missouri All-American wrestler Michael Chandler and Chris Page.

-- Another Mizzou All-American, Ben Askren, will face Lyman Good for the Bellator welterweight belt on Oct. 21 in Philadelphia, and Askren will have someone special accompanying him out. Rapper N.O.R.E will perform Askren's walk-in song live.

-- That fight is on one of Bellator's best cards. Eddie Alvarez will fight Roger Huerta in a non-title bout, and Deividas Taurosevicius will face Wilson Reis.

-- The world's best female fighter will take to the cage on Oct. 28. Megumi Fujii will fight Zoila Frausto on Oct. 28 in Hollywood, Fla., for the Bellator women's belt. Hector Lombard will defend his middleweight belt against Alexander Shlemenko. Rumor has it that Missouri wrestler J.P. Reese will be fighting on this card, as well.

* Yes, you may have detected a slight Mizzou bias on this post. Deal with it.
