California youth golf coach allegedly orchestrates murder plot of molestation victims
Remember the national champion PGA junior golf coach who was arrested on dozens of child molestation charges this past December? Well, it turns out he may be worse than anyone thought, if that's possible.
After pleading not guilty in February to 75 felony charges, including performing oral copulation on children, 32-year-old youth golf instructor Andrew Nisbet allegedly attempted to orchestrate the murder of his three teenaged accusers leading up to his scheduled trial in late April, according to a recent Reuters report.
Nesbit now also stands trial for three counts of solicitation of murder after reportedly detailing the plot in a series of letters and outlining his plan to an undercover prosecutor posed as a hitman. He allegedly provided personal information about the three former golf students aged 12-17 he is accused of sexually assaulting.
“It appears through Nisbet’s letters to and from the confidential informant as well as his conversation with the undercover (officer) he is serious about having the victims killed in exchange for money,” a report obtained by Reuters described. Nisbet allegedly agreed on a price for the murder of each boy.
In addition to establishing the GRIP Junior Golf Academy, Nisbet worked from 2006 until his December arrest as PGA Director of Instruction at Las Positas Golf Course in Livermore, Calif. Once the recipient of the 2013 Junior Golf Leader Award from the Northern California Section of the PGA, he led his youth team to the 2012 PGA Junior League National Championship, often traveling the country with young golfers.
