Sabbatini's clutch birdie, Overton's clanger lead the week's best shots

Another fine weekend on the PGA Tour, and another win that wasn't as easy as it could have been. Congrats to Rory Sabbatini, who took down the Honda Classic despite trying to give it away there in Sunday's back nine. Sabbo, naturally, leads off our shots of the weekend with the one that ended up giving him the title. And away we go...

On the 16th on Sunday, Sabbatini had seen his five-shot lead shrink to just one over the space of seven holes. But he stepped up to a lengthy birdie putt on 16, and, well ..

Nicely done, and that would provide the margin of victory for the win over Y.E. Yang. Two holes and one weather-delay later, and the win was his.

On to more of the best of the weekend.

Jeff Overton gets the nod for probably the most dramatic shot of the weekend, the eagle he posted in Round 2 on the 11th hole. Got to love the flagstick clang:

Yang charged hard, but unlike in a certain major championship of a couple years back, he couldn't quite run down the leader. Still, he tightened the noose with this approach and birdie on the par-3 15th, the kind of shot that got Sabbatini thinking.

Kyle Stanley started hot but faded over the weekend. Still, with beauties like this dart of a tee shot on the 7th in Round 3, we're likely to be hearing more from him again before long.

There's nothing like a bunker save to completely turn a hole, and possibly even a round, around. Check Chris Couch's drainer here, a 42-footer on the par-4 12th in the third round:

And that, friends, is a wrap on the weekend. Hope you holed a few just as fine yourself.
