    Four teams after Francisco Cordero

US PresswireThe market is finally heating up for former Cincinnati Reds closer Francisco Cordero, not that Cincy's signing of Ryan Madson will keep him off the roster there.

MLB.com has it that Cordero will choose from four teams by the end of this week. One of the teams supposedly still in the hunt for the services of the 36-year-old are the Los Angeles Angels, the site notes. The other three teams, according to the Los Angeles Times, are the Philadelphia Phillies, Toronto Blue Jays and Baltimore Orioles.

Cordero has 327 career saves, second in line only to Mariano Rivera for active pitchers. Last season, he notched 37 for the Reds and had a 2.45 ERA and 42 strikeouts in 69 innings.

      Blue Jays or Angels.

The Angels bullpen still looks suspect.

I've read other articles where the Angels were satisfied with Jordan Walden as the closer. He did a heck of a better job than Rodney did.
