YES Network broadcast briefly loses audio, and Yankees fans lose their minds
First Yankees fans lost their radio voice when John Sterling abruptly retired, and Tuesday night they lost audio during the TV broadcast.
For about five minutes during New York's game against the Blue Jays in Toronto, the audio went out on the YES Network, and then it came back like a bad cellphone connection from Canada.
Yankees fans never miss a beat, and some took to social media to complain, while others had some fun with the troubles.
Here are some of the comments:
John Sterling must've also ran the audio at Yes Network cause wtf is going on right now 😂

I know the YES Network is having some audio issues, but honestly I kind of like the vintage broadcast vibes haha pic.twitter.com/Oz55i05Wpn

I like this YES Network audio issue right now. Sounds like I’m listening to @RealMichaelKay broadcast a baseball game in 1943.

@YESNetwork @DIRECTV - there’s no audio on the YES Network, Channel 631. It just dropped out. (No, @DIRECTV - I don’t need troubleshooting. I’ve already checked other channels, and they’re fine.)
