Who has won the Home Run Derby throughout the years? Here's a list of every winner
The Home Run Derby has become one of the highlights of MLB's All-Star weekend as it showcases stars old and new.
Last year's outing featured Juan Soto beating out Julio Rodríguez in a competition that included revered veteran Albert Pujols.
This season, Soto is not in the mix to defend his title, but Rodríguez will be attempting to take the blasting crown in front of his own fans in Seattle against two-time winner Pete Alonso, veteran Mookie Betts and 2019 runner-up Vladimir Guerrero Jr.
Alonso is one of three players who have won multiple Home Run Derby titles. Ken Griffey Jr. holds the record with three wins.
The format of the Home Run Derby has been tweaked through the years since its inception in 1985 when Dave Parker won. What hasn't changed is the thrill of the crack of the bat and the awe of watching a baseball soar through the air over and over and over again.
