Wolves secure the three points at home to Sheffield United in the Premier League with a 1-0 victory at Molineux. It looked like it had the potential to be a comfortable game for the home side after they opened the scoring in the first half through Sarabia and dominated the possession before the break. However, the Blades looked threatening on the counter-attack and O’Neil’s side had to be aware of the danger. After half-time, Sheffield United were the better side and produced eight shots in the second half, while limiting Wolves to just 0.15 expected goals (xG). Despite their efforts, they couldn’t find a breakthrough and weren’t clinical enough in the final third. Wilder will be disappointed that his side struggled to find the back of the net, and they will have to bounce back next time out against Arsenal. So close! Sarabia plays a one-two and picks up the ball just outside of the penalty area. He attempts an ambitious effort, striking one towards the far corner, but it flies inches past the post. Grbic was scrambling across his line and was struggling to get there, but thankfully for him, it went wide of the goal.
