Wisconsin plays new SEC opponent in latest USA TODAY bowl projections

·1 min read

Even though Wisconsin football had a bye week last week, the Badgers are now predicted to play against the Kentucky Wildcats in the Outback Bowl by the latest bowl projections from USA TODAY.

Wisconsin has played in five Outback bowls since it started in 1986 but has only won two of their matchups. The Badgers beat Auburn back in 2015 as well as Duke in 1995. Wisconsin has only matched up against Kentucky once, back in 1984 in the Hall of Fame Classic, where the Badgers lost 20-19 to the Wildcats.

The projected College Football Playoff teams for this week remain as Alabama, Oklahoma, Georgia and Oregon.

The Badgers will be facing next former Wisconsin quarterback Jack Coan and the Notre Dame Fighting Irish at Soldier Field in Chicago.
