Widow of Dwayne Haskins files lawsuit over QB’s death, alleging ‘blackmail and robbery conspiracy’

One year ago, Pittsburgh Steelers quarterback Dwayne Haskins was killed when he was hit by a dump truck while trying to cross a highway in Florida. Now his widow has filed a lawsuit that claims he was the victim of a “blackmail and robbery conspiracy.”

The lawsuit, which lists 14 defendants, claims include that Haskins was drugged while out the night of the accident, causing him to be 2.5 times over the legal limit for driving. The wide-ranging suit alleges that his rental vehicle had mechanical issues, leading to it running out of gas, and also claims the driver of the dump truck was speeding and driving carelessly.
