Wide receiver Johnny Wilson unavailable for FSU football's road game vs. Pittsburgh
Florida State will be without wide receiver Johnny Wilson in its road game against Pittsburgh on Saturday.
It was confirmed to Tallahassee Democrat Saturday morning that the Seminole wide receiver would be out for a second straight week. He has now been absent from three of FSU's last five games. He has not played a full game since Sep. 23 at Clemson.
He suffered an apparent injury, colliding with two players on reception, in the Virginia Tech game on Oct. 7, leaving the game early. He'd then miss FSU's next game against Syracuse. Wilson would return against Duke on Oct. 21, but leave the game in the third quarter with an apparent injury.
He was ruled out last week against Wake Forest and has been ruled out again versus Pitt. FSU head coach Mike Norvell gave an update on Wilson Monday at his weekly press conference.

"I think as we're looking into this week. As it gets a little bit further down, we'll have a better clue of the availability," Norvell said at Monday's press conference. "I know Johnny was out [at practice] yesterday and got a chance to get some practice in. So we'll see what that looks like as this week progresses."
"I know Destyn and Hykeem are both going through their process. We'll see what that looks like as we get to Tuesday."
During his time out, junior wide receiver Kentron Poitier has stepped into the starting position, recording one reception for 33 yards this season. Against Wake, he did end up finding the end zone, but the score was called back due to a penalty on FSU.
Poitier will likely remain in that starting receiver position with Keon Coleman and Ja'khi Douglas on Saturday against Pitt.
