Wide receiver Bryson Rodgers to withdraw from transfer portal, return to Ohio State

Bryson Rodgers announced Saturday he will withdraw his name from the transfer portal in order to return to Ohio State.

A freshman wide receiver who spent a season with the Buckeyes, he had entered the portal last week.

“I appreciate all the coaches that blessed me with an opportunity to come to their program,” Rodgers wrote on X, the platform formerly known as Twitter. “This has been no where easy for me. Buckeye nation, with deep reconsideration and thought, I will be returning to The Ohio State University.”

Rodgers keeps the Buckeyes a little deeper at wide receiver after they suffered loses to the portal during the last few open windows.

Noah Rogers, a fellow freshman wideout, also entered the portal last week and is heading to North Carolina State, while Kaleb Brown and Caleb Burton also transferred last spring following their freshman seasons.

Rodgers, a former four-star recruit from Zephyrhills, Florida, appeared in two games last season against Michigan State and Purdue, but did not catch a pass.
