Where Ole Miss women's basketball stands in updated March Madness bracket predictions

OXFORD — The postseason couldn't have arrived at a better time for Ole Miss women's basketball.

The ramp-up to March Madness begins with the SEC Tournament in Greenville, South Carolina, where the Rebels are set to open play with a quarterfinal against Florida on Friday.

Ole Miss (22-7) will carry a six-game winning streak into that game. Its average margin of victory over that stretch is 21.8 points.

Where ESPN projects Ole Miss women's basketball in March Madness

ESPN's Charlie Creme has moved the Rebels up a seed line since last week. Before beginning SEC Tournament, Ole Miss was projected to be a No. 7 seed in the NCAA Tournament. In his projection, the Rebels would meet No. 10 Miami in the opening round in Los Angeles. A win would likely mean a matchup with Southern Cal.
