Where is Jared Kelley headed now, and a look at other Corpus Christi pro baseball players

Refugio graduate Jared Kelley was promoted by the White Sox organization to Double-A Birmingham on July 19 after the best start of a season in his pro career.

The hurler has found success in long relief, going 2-4 with a 5.14 earned-run average and 47 strikeouts in 42 innings pitched with High-A Winston-Salem before his promotion.

A year after a breakout campaign with the Yankees, Jose Trevino is out for the season after sustaining ligament damage in his hand that will require surgery. Trevino hit .210 with four home runs in half a season in New York.
