Here’s where the Gators are seeded in the 2022 NCAA Tournament

Florida baseball made a valiant effort in the SEC Tournament, making it all the way to the finals to face the top team in the nation, the Tennessee Volunteers, before falling short of this season’s trophy. Not all was in vain, however, as the deep run elevated the Gators into the top 16 overall seedings after a regular season that was disappointing, to say the least.

The Orange and Blue ultimately earned a No. 13 seed heading into the NCAA Tournament and will host the first round at Condron Family Ballpark in the Gainesville Regional. Florida is joined by the Central Michigan Chippewas, Liberty Flames and Oklahoma Sooners in the double-elimination round, with the winner facing the victor of the Blacksburg Regional.

The NCAA Tournament is set to start for the Gators on June 3 in Gainesville, Florida, with the regional round lasting until June 6. Regional winners advance to a best-of-three super regional round, with the eight remaining teams heading to Omaha for the College World Series beginning June 17.

The opening matchups are still yet to be determined but are expected to be announced soon.
