West Texas high school track and field: UIL meet schedules and locations
The high school track and field UIL schedule is right around the corner.
The University Interscholastic League meet season begins with district meets the first week of April followed by area meets the following week. From there, teams and individuals will compete in regional meets in the third week of April and finish the season with the state meet on May 4-5.
The state meet will be held at the University of Texas in Austin.
Here are all the upcoming dates and locations you need to know for UIL track and field meets.

UIL track and field dates and locations
Apr. 2-3: District 5-3A track and field meet in Llano.
Apr. 3-4: District 7-2A track and field meet in Sonora; District 6-3A track and field meet in Clyde; District 5-4A track and field meet in San Angelo.
Apr. 4: District 12-A track and field meet in Menard; District 8-2A track and field meet in Roscoe; District 29-2A track and field meet in Mason; District 2-6A track and field meet in Odessa.
Apr. 5: District 11-A track and field meet in Blackwell.
Apr. 10: Districts 7-2A and 8-2A area track and field meet in Bangs; Districts 5-3A and 6-3A area track and field meet in Llano.
Apr. 11: Districts 29-2A and 30-2A area track and field meet in Fall City; Districts 11-1A and 12-1A area meet in Robert Lee.
Apr. 12: Districts 5-4A and 6-4A area track and field meet in Abilene; Districts 1-6A and 2-6A area track and field meet in El Paso.
Apr. 19-20: Region 2-1A track and field meet at ASU in San Angelo; Region 1-2A track and field meet in Canyon; Region 4-2A track and field meet in Kingsville; Region 1-3A track and field meet at ACU in Abilene; Region 1-4A track and field meet in Lubbock; Region 1-6A track and field meet in Arlington.
May 2-4: Class1A-6A state track meet at the University of Texas in Austin.
