West Ham XI vs Bayer Leverkusen: Bowen in - Starting lineup, confirmed team news and injury latest today

West Ham welcome back Jarrod Bowen for tonight’s Europa League quarter-final decider against Bayer Leverkusen.

The England forward has not featured since limping off in the 2-1 victory at Wolves earlier this month, but returned to training on Wednesday and manager David Moyes has opted to bring him straight back into the starting lineup.

The availability of Bowen, who has scored 19 goals in all competitions so far this term, gives Moyes a significant boost as his side look to come from 2-0 down after the first leg to reach the Europa League semi-finals.

West Ham are without both Emerson and Lucas Paqueta because of suspension after the pair each picked up their third yellow cards of the campaign during last week’s firs -leg in Germany.

Konstantinos Mavropanos also misses out through injury after limping off late in Sunday’s 2-0 defeat to Fulham.

Edson Alvarez is back after missing the trip to Leverkusen through suspension, but Kalvin Phillips, who also trained on Wednesday for the first time since picking up a hamstring problem, does not make the squad.

First-choice goalkeeper Alphonse Areola is also not involved, as Lukasz Fabianski keeps his place on the occasion of his 39th birthday.

Starting XI: Fabianski, Coufal, Zouma, Aguerd, Cresswell, Alvarez, Soucek, Ward-Prowse, Bowen, Antonio, Kudus

Subs: Anang, Knightbridge, Ogbonna, Ings, Johnson, Cornet, Mubama, Orford, Casey, Swyer
