Ex-Burnley man Ings strikes late to earn West Ham comeback draw
Former Burnley man Danny Ings struck late at the London Stadium to give West Ham a 2-2 draw with the Clarets on Sunday.
Ings came off the bench and had an equalizer pulled off the board due to a Michail Antonio offside, but scored a technically wonderful goal in stoppage time to complete West Ham's 2-goal comeback and deny Burnley a first Premier League win of 2024.

The Irons fell 1-0 at Freiburg in a UEL last 16 first leg on Thursday, and looked still in Germany as David Datro Fofana and a Konstantinos Mavropanos own goal staked the visitors to a 2-0 away lead.
Lucas Paqueta scored West Ham's first goal as the Irons stay a point ahead of eighth-place Brighton. West Ham's 43 points are four behind sixth-place Manchester United.
Burnley's hopes of a Premier League great escape get a meager amount of hope, as the 19th-place Clarets' 14 points have them 10 behind 17th-place Forest and 11 back of 16th-place Everton.
And if both are harshly punished for spending problems, Burnley are also seven points behind 18th-place Luton Town. With Brentford, Everton, Sheffield United, and Nottingham Forest still on the schedule, there is hope for Burnley. But they still need to find some surprise points and this really could've been three.
What’s next?
Burnley host Brentford at 11am ET Saturday, while West Ham host Freiburg on Thursday in the Europa League before returning to the Premier League for a 10am ET Sunday visit from Aston Villa.

Danny Ings already did the "don't celebrate" celebration after putting the Irons level with his old club before VAR took the goal off the board for an offside by Michail Antonio on the would-be assist.
This one, though, counts, and Ings has his back to goal, spins, and fires past James Trafford. Oof.
Next goal could go either way
West Ham is playing open in a bid to get level and at times it's uncomfortable.
There have been a lot of fouls in either direction and some dodgy moments with West Ham when Burnley grab control of the ball.

The finish is world class — and we'll get to that — but did David Datro Fofana mean to pass the ball to himself off a defender's ankle?
We posit that he did.
Either way, the highlight is exceptional as Fofana lashes into a rocket from 25 yards that is lucky to be contained by the upper 90 netting.
Incredible from the Chelsea loanee, and Burnley are vibing in London.
Opportunity for the Clarets against men in claret
West Ham's team is very similar to a group that lost 1-0 to Freiburg in Germany just three days ago, and Burnley if anything have vigor in the lineup. Can this be a big day for David Datro Fofana? Maybe it's a chance for Wilson Odobert to unlock the players around him? That heaps more pressure on Sander Berge to control the midfield, a mighty ask with Tomas Soucek, Kalvin Phillips, Lucas Paqueta, and James Ward-Prowse around. And will David Moyes allow Burnley possession when that's what Vincent Kompany craves, or will the Irons assert their superiority by actually possessing the ball? Things to monitor early in London.
