Welcome to the 1K club: Vote for the High School Girls Basketball Player of the Week
Canton High's Mercia Kolokithas has been voted the High School Girls Basketball Player of the Week.
The senior received over 25,000 votes to earn the honor. Kolokithas scored a career-high 31 points in a 74-57 win over Stoughton. She drained nine 3-pointers in the win.

Jizzelle Stephney, New Heights: Stephney scored 22 points in a 43-34 win over Prospect Hill Academy.
Lilly Blow, Sr., Fontbonne Academy: Blow posted double-doubles in wins over Ursuline (19 points, 15 rebounds), Notre Dame Academy of Worcester (15 points, 16 rebounds) and Bedford (16 points, 11 rebounds)
Ava Orlando, Jr., Notre Dame Academy: Orlando scored 29 points in a 65-59 win over Archbishop Williams.
Julia Grimes, Jr., Carver: Grimes scored 28 points in a 77-59 win over Pope John Paul II.
Shania Gardner, Sr., East Bridgewater: Gardner scored 25 points in a 65-55 win over Barnstable.
Alyssa Hopps, Jr., Quincy: Hopps scored 22 points in a win over Silver Lake.
Megan Doyle, Sr., Weymouth: Doyle scored 33 points and became the second girl in program history to score 1,000 career points in a win over Newton North. She also had 14 rebounds and 8 steals.
Maddie Oliver, Jr., Norwell: Oliver had 25 points, 13 rebounds and 5 steals in a 51-24 win over Dover-Sherborn.
Ava Bryan, Sr., North Quincy: Bryan scored 27 points in a 73-49 win over Silver Lake.
Alissa Marcella, Soph., Pembroke: Marcella scored 23 points in a win over Plymouth North and 22 in a win over Hingham.
Fatima Sidibay, Sr., Canton: Sidibay scored a career-high 27 points in a loss to Mansfield.
Sarah Chenette, Sr., Cohasset: Chenette scored 32 points and grabbed 16 rebounds in a 65-45 win over Dracut.
Phoebe Carroll, Soph., Hopedale: Carroll scored 25 points with 14 rebounds for the Blue Raiders in 33-31 loss to Milford on Thursday.
Samantha Collette, Sr., Hudson: Collette scored 15 points for the Hawks (12-7) in a 53-17 win over Lunenburg in a Clark Tournament Large School quarterfinal at Grafton High. On Thursday, Collette netted 21 points in a 58-49 loss to Westborough.
Gabby Dergham, Sr., Tri-County: Dergham pulled down 16 rebounds with six points for the Cougars in a 35-26 win over South Shore Vocational on Monday. She also scored seven points in a close loss to Norfolk Aggie.
Lindsey Grattan, Jr., Millis: Grattan led the way with 15 points as the Mohawks (14-7) earned a 52-49 win over Barnstable.
Annika Martins, Sr., Wayland: Martins scored 17 points for the Warriors in a loss to Norton. On Wednesday, Martins scored 18 points in a 72-30 win over rival Weston.
Isabella Miele, Soph., Marlborough: Miele poured in 35 points in a 62-57 win over Shepherd Hill, hitting three 3s and 10 free throws in the process.
Keira Powers, Sr., AMSA: Powers hit three 3s and had 14 points in a tight 48-46 win over Tahanto on Monday.
Allie Regan, Jr., Framingham: Regan dropped 22 points for the Flyers (10-7) in a 53-31 win over Shrewsbury on Thursday.
Kate Sams, Sr., Westborough: Sams scored 28 points, but host Westborough fell to Shepherd Hill, 57-55, in the quarterfinals of the Westborough Tournament. Sams also scored 10 points in a 58-49 win over Hudson. Sams also had 16 points in a 72-34 win over Fitchburg.
Evie Schwartz, Jr., Lincoln-Sudbury: Schwartz scored 10 points with four rebounds, but L-S (13-6) lost to Pentucket, 55-45, in the Spartan Classic at St. Mary’s (Lynn). Schwartz also scored 10 points with six rebounds in a 50-40 loss to Acton-Boxborough, and nine points with five rebounds in a 44-35 win over Waltham.
Megan Simpson, Jr., Holliston: Simpson scored 22 points for the Panthers (9-11) in a 58-30 win over Ashland on Thursday. On Wednesday, Simpson went nuclear with a career-high 41 points, and the Panthers needed every one of them in a 53-50 win over Grafton.
Katie Stopka, Sr., Natick: The captain led the way with 12 points for the Redhawks in a loss to Needham.
