Weekly Schedule: See where Escambia and Santa Rosa County teams are competing (May 13-18)

Track and field is concluding this week with state championships across all four classes at the University of North Florida in Jacksonville.

Elsewhere, football makes a temporary return with spring games for a majority of teams on Thursday and Friday. Baseball and softball playoffs continue forward.

Here's what the weekly schedule looks like for Escambia and Santa Rosa County teams teams from May 13-18 (times and days subject to change). All schedules are found via MaxPreps. (note: events with an asterisk are possibilities depending on results of games earlier in the week).

Tuesday (May 14)

Softball: Pace vs. Niceville (Region 1-6A semifinals) (7 p.m.); Gulf Breeze at Fort Walton Beach (Region 1-5A semifinals) (6 p.m.); West Florida at Wakulla (Region 1-4A semifinals) (7 p.m.); Northview vs. Holmes County (Region 1-1A final) (7 p.m.)

Wednesday (May 15)

Baseball: Jay vs. Lafayette (Class 1A state semifinals in Fort Myers) (1 p.m.)

Track and field: Class 1A state meet at University of North Florida (field events start at 1 p.m.; running events start at 4 p.m.)

Thursday (May 16)

Baseball: Class 1A state championship* (in Fort Myers) (time TBD)

Track and field: Class 2A state meet at University of North Florida (field events start at 1 p.m.; running events start at 4 p.m.)

Spring football: Tate at Bay (6:30 p.m.)

Friday (May 17)
