An earthquake that shook New Jersey and parts of New York, Philadelphia and up toward Boston was certainly felt at Yankee Stadium in the Bronx on Friday morning.
A reported 4.8 magnitude earthquake struck the region at 10:23 a.m., according to the United States Geological Survey.
The New York Yankees, coming off a six-game road trip to start the 2024 season, were preparing for Friday afternoon's home opener against the Toronto Blue Jays when the earthquake was felt. The team was taking batting practice when it happened.
