How to watch, wager, live stream, listen to Cowboys-Buccaneers in Week 1

Finally.

After eight grueling months, the Dallas Cowboys finally return to the field to try and exorcise the demons of last year’s early playoff exit. The team is much different from last, with a brand new receiving corps to catch passes from quarterback Dak Prescott and a continually evolving defense under mastermind Dan Quinn. Last season’s campaign began with a loss before reeling off six-straight victories, a defeat at the hands of the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. This year’s campaign begins against those same Tom Bradys; only at AT&T Stadium.

Buccaneers’ keys to victory

With QB Tom Brady walking away from training camp for a couple of weeks, the timing of the passing game will be important in Week 1. The offensive line has been reshuffled thanks to a season-ending injury to LG Aaron Stinnie and C Ryan Jensen’s trip to IR. Pressure up the middle has always been the lone way to slow Brady, and keeping Dallas’ young 3-techs out the backfield is step 1 in a winning game plan.

Cowboys’ keys to victory

QB Dak Prescott will need to be at his best out of the gate – his protection will be an issue, and his weapons are limited from years past. He’ll need to find WR CeeDee Lamb early and often and also utilize the speed of RB Tony Pollard and WR KaVontae Turpin to offset a renewed focus on RB Ezekiel Elliott running the ball. If the offense can extend drives, the defense will have a chance to create turnovers.

Who wins?

Predicting the decline of Brady has never fared well for anyone, but he does not play well in season openers on the road: Since 2013, he has a 1-2 record with just a 56.3% completion rate and an average of under 260 passing yards and an interception.  Cowboys 26, Bucs 17.
