How to watch Texas-Rice: Start time, TV broadcast and more stories to know
Regardless if you think Texas is going 11-1 or 9-3, the Longhorns' college football season begins vs. Rice on Sept. 2 all the same.
With Quinn Ewers entering his sophomore season, a stacked recruiting class and Texas' last season in the Big 12, there are plenty of storylines to keep an eye on this upcoming season. Expectations are very high for coach Steve Sarkisian and his team, with most of the conference having painted a target on UT's back.
Ranked 11th in the preseason AP Top 25, Texas has a decent shot at winning the Big 12 title before they depart for the SEC. Last time they faced Rice was in 2021, when the Longhorns won handily 58-0. The last time the Owls got a win vs. Texas was back in 1994, when they squeaked out a 19-17 win.
Here's how to watch the matchup and some other stories to read before the game.
