Watch: Notre Dame baseball sings ‘Rocky Top’ in Knoxville bar following Tennessee upset

After being ranked as the nation’s top team in the Baseball America poll earlier this season, it shouldn’t be a shock to anyone that Notre Dame is among the eight teams that will be playing in the 2022 College World Series.  The shock however comes from how they got there which took upsetting the overwhelming tournament favorite Tennessee in the Knoxville Super Regional.

If you’ve watched much college baseball this year you’re likely well aware that Tennessee was really good and didn’t hesitate to tell you about it.  That’s what made Notre Dame’s upset that much sweeter, as just about the entire nation outside of the state of Tennessee seemed to be pulling for the Irish.

After clinching their third College World Series appearance all-time, the Notre Dame baseball team hit up Clancy’s Irish Pub in downtown Knoxville and did some karaoke for the Knoxville bar-goers.

As I put on Twitter yesterday following Notre Dame’s win, a big “you’re welcome” goes out to the rest of college baseball from the Fighting Irish baseball team after doing what literally everyone else wanted done.
