WATCH: Hall of Famer Michael Irvin speaks to CU Buffs players post-practice

There has been no shortage of notable figures who’ve visited Boulder since Colorado hired Deion Sanders as head coach, including Lil Wayne, Urban Meyer, Terrell Owens, multiple Denver Broncos players and most recently, Pro Football Hall of Famer Michael Irvin.

Irvin and Sanders played together with the Dallas Cowboys in the late 1990s and the two have remained close since.

Following Colorado’s fall camp practice on Wednesday, Irvin shared a few words of wisdom with Coach Prime’s Buffs (h/t Thee Pregame Show):

“It is set up for you right now to shock the world,” Irvin said. “Make sure the story of the 2023 Colorado Buffaloes will be told the right way. Make sure it’s told the right way, and that’s on each of you. One man to the other, each man for the other, I will get my (expletive) job done today and every day. If you can make that promise, you can do something special.”

It doesn’t get much better than that. We’ve still got over a week until the season opener, but Colorado fans and players should be ready to run through a brick wall.
