Watch former Mississippi State football DL Cameron Young surprise mom with new house

There are plenty of ways for an NFL rookie to put his paychecks to use − from new cars to expensive jewelry. However, for former Mississippi State football defensive lineman Cameron Young, he elected to use his new fortunes to give back.

Young, who was selected by the Seattle Seahawks in fourth round of the 2023 NFL Draft, bought his mom a house. In a video he shared on social media, Young shows his mom looking around a home and sharing her admiration of it. As she was looking through the kitchen, Young broke the news.

"I'm glad you like it," he said, "because it's yours."

Young went in for a hug as his mom stood wide-eyed − struggling to believe what just happened.

Young is a native of Crosby, Mississippi, who attended Franklin County High School. He spent five seasons at MSU, collecting 103 tackles, eight tackles for loss and one interception in 41 games.
