WATCH: Caleb Williams runs 41 yards to extend the Sooners lead to 45-24

Caleb Williams first career start couldn’t be going any better as the Oklahoma Sooners are scoring seemingly at will as the true freshman quarterback looks in control and composed against a TCU defense that has little answers.

Late in the third quarter, with the score 38-24, Williams took the ball and on the read-option kept it and worked to the left and weaved his way through the Horned Frogs defense for the 41-yard touchdown.

Williams has shown off every bit of the player the Sooners thought they were getting when the top quarterback in the 2021 class committed to the Oklahoma Sooners. Though he’s getting his chance sooner than most people thought, Caleb Williams is seizing the moment, leading the Sooners to a big lead through three quarters.

With the fourth quarter underway, the Oklahoma Sooners still have a lot of football to play, but Caleb Williams’ first start has been electric.
