How to watch Braves baseball game today after Comcast Xfinity-Bally Sports outage

Atlanta Braves fans who are Xfinity customers won't be able to watch their team on Bally Sports South. The Braves play the Los Angeles Dodgers in a three-game series beginning on Friday.

Diamond Sports Group, which owns Bally Sports and its regional sports networks, could not come to a deal with the cable provider, Xfinity, to continue showing its programming.

“It’s disappointing that Comcast rejected a proposed extension that would have kept our channels on the air and that Comcast indicated that it intends to pull the signals, preventing fans from watching their favorite local teams,” Diamond Sports Group said in a statement. “Comcast has refused to engage in substantive discussions despite Diamond offering terms similar to those reached with much larger distributors of ours."

The channel was shut off for Xfinity customers around 11:30 p.m. on Tuesday, as the Nashville Predators were completing a 2-1 win over the Vancouver Canucks in the NHL playoffs first round series.

"Unfortunately, our programming agreement with Diamond Sports Group has expired," Xfinity wrote in an email to customers. "This means we no longer have the rights to carry their channels, including your Bally Sports network. ... We know that unexpected changes to your channel lineup can be frustrating. We've been flexible with Diamond Sports Group, who is in bankruptcy proceedings, but have been unable to reach an agreement that's fair for our customers."
